Bison from Białowieża online, in the State Forests’ live stream.

The camera has been installed on midforest glade located on the northern edge of the Białowieża Forest in the area of Browsk Forest District (Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Białystok). This is where foresters bring fodder for bison during winter, therefore animals visit the glade so willingly and spend there a lot of time.

For more information about online transmission, please contact us via email zubry@cilp.lasy.gov.pl or fb fan page.

While waiting for bison to appear, which most often visit the glade in winter, the camera shows the landscape of the forest glade, sometimes also smaller animals that are easiest to spot after dusk.

Thanks do the infrared reflector it is possible to observe wildlife at night. Animals do not see this light so it does not affect their behavior and circadian rhythm of life.

Bison are not the only animals that may be seen during winter. Deer often feed on the fodder for bison. Among many other visitors there are also hares, sometimes martens; everyday there are flocks of  jays, greenfinches and yellowhammers. We hope that when the freeze comes, roe deer and wild boars will also appear.
