All about the Białowieża Forest

Minister of the Environment declares he will consult the opinion of the Advocate General of the Court of Justice of the European Union in detail. ‘However, I may already confirm that Poland will respect the final judgement of the Court concerning the Białowieża Forest’ adds the Minister.

Henryk Kowalczyk emphasized the significance of the Białowieża Forest for Poland as a very precious area. He also added that all previous actions had been taken in order to preserve the Białowieża Forest in the best condition for present and future generations.

Today’s opinion of the Advocate General of CJEU is not binding for the Court. The final judgement of the Court of Justice of the EU in the case of the Białowieża Forest will be delivered probably in April this year.
